I also 'did it'
But then I never said I wouldn't.

09/07/09
Remember when I said I would never buy a Renault? That was the same day I said I'd write my blog every day, which is another way of saying I didn't say either of those things. I think I can say with some conviction however, that I will never buy a Renault. Perhaps in some far off future I will be laughing at my young (is 29 still young?) self for saying such a stupid thing as I fly off into space on my Renault future car while remarking on the unrealistic appearance of the shark in Jaws 19.

When you watch Back to the Future part II and go on about how it's going to be a bit of a pinch getting those hover boards, flying cars and self drying clothes ready by 2015 (considering we are still struggling to prepare an Olympic stadium by 2012), did it ever occur to you that that's a lot of Jaws films to be made in a short time? Considering it's taken 34 years just to make four of them. Time to get going, Max Spielberg.

Anyway, they did get one thing right about the future - everyone actually is dressed like it's the eighties.

Unrelated, I heard today that in a few short years, it will be compulsory for everyone to contribute to a pension from their wages (about 4% I think?) and employers will have to contribute about 3%. That's great, because it means that when I'm old, the government can means test me and say I don't need a state pension because I've paid into my own pension out of my own wages all these years, thanks to them. Which is double great, because then all that money I will have paid (and already have paid) for national insurance can go to people who didn't pay into their pensions, ie didn't do a day's work in their lives, for reasons varying from incapacity (which is fine, obviously) to utter blood-sucking laziness.

I can't remember what I was going to write before I started going on about Back to the Future II, so I'll leave you wanting less.

Over.

Marty! My experiment worked perfectly! That one about making all my clocks exactly 30 mins fast. I hope my funding continues.

And when will these hoverboards be on sale, will they be 29.99 or dearer. I want answers now or I want them eventually. Oo wait a sec my jacket is now dry. Now where can I find a dustproof book, perhaps an almanac of some kind.
