So, I completed Uncharted 2 last night.

I was caught in two minds. On the one hand, I wanted to finish the game, but on the other hand I didn't want it to end. But, finish it I did. Luckily, when you finish it
you get lots of virtual money to purchase cheats, much like in the Goldeneye mode. So, I will now play again, but with "one shot kills", which sounds jolly fun.
Whilst I am not usually a fan of replaying a game on a harder level once I have completed it, I have no problem with Uncharted 2 (much like with the recent Batman game)

Uncharted 2 truly is a work of art of a game. Like a really engaging and engrossing film that you actually get to control. I thought the balance of action, puzzles and cut scenes was perfect, as too much of each of those elements could become annoying. But, the balance is perfect.

So, I am now on the look out for a new engrossing and "unputdownable" game. Luckily for me, Modern Warfare 2 is out next week. Now all I have to decide is PS3 or XBOX 360?

I watched the most recent Harry Hill's TV Burp. Oh dear. It would appear the shark is jumped. Whilst it is still mildly amusing, it doesn't have the same anarchic feeling of old. Jokes tend to go on far too long, especially visual jokes and they now have a phone in competition, which is never a good sign ITV are such scum bags with that sort of thing, every show pretty much has a phone in associated with it. Which is very crap). Don't get me wrong, it still has its moments, but on the whole, it's pretty lame. The "fight" as break book ends are getting very tedious and annoying.

I have been disappointed for a while with just how willing Harry Hill is to suck the teat of ITV and drink their shit milk. His Channel 4 show was very funny and just full of gold. I am very sad that it has never been released on DVD.

But, much with Vic and Bob before him, all old greats must fall and become the establishment or just plain shit. Or Ben Elton.

Another comic great that is now pretty shit is Armstrong and Miller. I loved their Paramount and Channel 4 shows, they were so risky. They would do very odd and surreal stuff, such as Nude Practice, about a nude "all creatures great and small", porn stars doing read through like stage actors, Jack Force, an inspector Morse/Forst detective who although fired from the force for having a drink problem, continued to attempt to pin every crime on his neighbour "Hirsh" who ran the book shop next to him, assisted by his imaginary friend "Chuffy" a train driver and a couple of guys inventing a montage to ensure that their house was built quickly. My favourite A&M sketch was always the "Glengarry Glen Ross" take off in which an elderly scientist visits a cancer research lab and drags them over the coals for not finding a cure for cancer. The sketch culminating in the elderly scientist shouting, "Now, cure some cancer you fucks!" Before storming out in his posh car.



But now, they have a BBC1 show where their only funny sketch (The WW2 RAF pilots who speak like modern urban kids) is stretched beyond breaking point and frankly boring. They just seem to be going through the motions. Even the opening titles are shit.

I realised the other day whilst writing this blog, that it is 1 year old. Congratulations to me, even though, if you took out how many days I missed it would probably only be half a year. If that.
