A Look Into the Joys of Gardening with Alan Holes

The gardener stands for a moment, regarding the flower bed and considering the task before him. Kneeling, he brushes back the fringe of long grass to reveal the soil beneath. His experienced hand gently, firmly pushes home the dibber, preparing the moist ground for his impending seed. In handfuls he scatters it over the fertile bed. Where the soil is dry he might spit on it to dampen the area. He continues until, bag exhuasted and arm aching, he is driven to rest. He stands once more and considers his day's work, considers the plants grown and nurtured by his own aging hands. And he comes.
